What appears to be flex pipe is not, it is a covering to promote radiation of heat from the front floor in accordance with the Cadillac/LaSalle Club Authenticty Manual for 1957 and 1958 Cadillacs. The car has never been driven on a wet road and remains pristine beneath.

Seat belts were a dealer installed option in 1958 and my Biarritz is equipped with six. As one can see they are fitted unobtrusively to keep the rear floor clear. The front seat belts extend through custon made escutcheons in the front seat and do not extend around the side of the seat.
