Elliot Behind the Wheel of the Fleet
My son Elliot is working toward his driver’s license. Since he started at 16, he has to drive 3,000 km with my wife or me before he can take the actual test. It was important to me that he spends part of that time in my old, special cars as well.
At first he was a little intimidated by these large barges on our often narrow roads, but he soon got used to them and began to enjoy it very much. So far he has driven the ‘67 Convertible (his favorite), the ‘67 Eldorado, the 1996 Roadmaster, the ‘74 CDV and the ‘78 Eldorado.
His verdict is that the ‘74 is the best one to drive. With all the cars now in winter hibernation, he will have to wait until next summer to try the rest of the fleet. And if he passes his test, he might even get to drive one of the cars to the next Cadillac BIG Meet in August!
